There are some truly beautiful and romantic settings in and around London to hold a wedding. What you want depends on the type of wedding you are planning on: formal, casual, maybe a bit of both.  You can start your search for a wedding venue online and make a list from there on places to visit in person and see for yourself.   The wedding venue you decide to use will depend on a few things like how many people are going to be invited, the type of food and drinks you want, whether there will be a paid bar or open bar for the guests to buy their own, and whether you will have dancing and music and what kind: live or a DJ.

Consult a Wedding Organizer
These are a few things you need to consider in your search for a wedding venue.  Of course cost has to be decided too unless it is a spare no expense affair.  Do you have an event organizer or are you doing all the planning yourself? Organizers know the best wedding venues and their reputations in the area so it might be a good idea to at least have a consulting organizer for input.

Ask what is Included
As you are looking into wedding venues around London or anywhere, make sure you ask about charges to the bill like some wedding venues will supply and open the wine for the toasts, some will charge you to open it. Be aware of the small costs that can be added and really blow up the bill.  This is where having an organizer to consult helps a lot since they know the ins and outs of wedding venues.  You will want the best on your wedding day, so picking the right wedding venue is important to your big day.  

There are some beautiful places to have a wedding reception in and around London, some are very picturesque and romantic and the price shows it too! Make sure you check out the wedding venue you want carefully and compare it with others for cost and availability.  I would advise to start your search long before you will need the venue, at least 6 months before if not a year, just to have enough time to compare and get the date you want.
